  1. Which accomplishment/event/moment are you most proud of in your career as a Homeopath?

After practicing for over a decade, there have been so many moments that I am proud of.  Early in my career, I was asked to speak at the Toronto Convention Centre for Life Fest.  I spoke to over 300 people about the healing power of homeopathy and my own journey in using this medicine to heal myself.  I look back at this and see how this opportunity to speak before so many was a catalyst in where I am now in my practice.

  1. What three aspects of your Homeopathic education contributed the most to your success?
    1. The teachers were incredible.  I found the focus on homeopathic philosophy to be particularly helpful as I often hear the wisdom of the teachers voice in my head when I am about to prescribe a remedy.  One of my favourites used to say: “What needs to be healed here?” and “Choose what kind of homeopath you want to be”.  Those statements stand out in my mind often.
    2. Our clinical experiences were vastly helpful.  To witness the teachers take cases, to take cases ourselves, the discussion, the analysis and our externship patients were all really important to help me gain the confidence I needed to practice.
    3. The leadership and kindness of the Director of the School really impacted me.  I will never forget the essence of his spirit and the integrity he held when I first met him.  After interviewing at the other schools, I just knew that CCHM was the school for me and truly feel that the energy follows me in what I put out into the world.

 3.  Share with us a recently cured case with Homeopathic Medicine.  (Make sure you don’t include any identifying patient information)

A 48 year old woman came in with colitis as her chief complaint.  She had deep inflammation of the colon with major digestive difficulties.  Her stools were full of blood and mucous and she had continuous cramping, bloating and gas.  She was high strung, anxious and unable to fully trust in life.  The etiology of her complaint was food poisoning followed by antibiotics.  I prescribed a bowel nosode based on when her symptoms began and what I felt the true etiology was in her case and in one month time, her symptoms had improved by 80%.  She is now free of pain and symptoms.

4.  Do you have anything else you would like to share?

Homeopathy is a brilliant system of medicine that has propelled my life forward in ways that I could have never dreamed possible.  When I was 17, I was diagnosed with Lupus and homeopathy has kept me off allopathic meds and helped me to heal myself.  It reminds me of my innate healing potential and allows me to share that gift with all of those in my practice.  It is a true honour to see people get well and I am forever grateful for this brilliant medicine.
