I am a current 2nd year student and in October I attended Study Week for the college. My week can be described as it being profound, as well as surprising. First of all, I had the pleasure of meeting fellow distant education students like myself and I finally had a chance to meet wonderful mentors like Andrea,  Joyce and Raymond. Everyone had been so welcoming and helpful that it made the education environment very likeable.

 Day one of Study Week, I was obviously running late since Toronto is a newer environment and the train system was a bit confusing. FYI, Edmonton definitely is a simpler city compared to Toronto! I must say the week was full of great instructors and I thoroughly enjoyed the teaching style and absolutely loved the fact that I was able to finally work out the rubrics for cases as a group, as opposed to my solo days of trying to figure what I am gaining out of this. My background of study is Medicine so looking up rubrics and repertory was definitely not something I had much clue about, but Homeopathy is something that is very close to my heart and I enjoy learning it more and more.

The grand surprise for my Study Week came all the way from INDIA. Another homeopathic doctor from India contacted Joyce - she was just visiting family and friends in Toronto. She turned out to be a friend of my parents. I had never met her in person but had spoken to her on the phone a handful of times. She mentioned she would be in Toronto and wanted to meet me, well she was the same doctor from India that had contacted Joyce.  Dr. Ami ended up attending a couple of Study Week classes and I had the pleasure of meeting her. Just a Small world or maybe it was destiny!

Study Week was definitely a great educational gain and it made me enjoy learning aspects of homeopathy even more. I know I will be back next year and hope it once again is full of surprises! Thank you all for making it a great week and hope to see my distant education team once again very soon!
