Homeopathic Remedies

New Student Story from Gloria J., Toronto, Ontario

My legal name is  Zhe Jian. I was born in 1976 in Guangzhou, China. Our family immigrated to Canada in 2000. Most of the Chinese parents plan for their children’s future. As a result, many Chinese girls studied to work in accounting and boys studied to work in computer science. Many parents believed that their children would find stable jobs in these two areas to make a living. Thus studies Accounting in Toronto. However, as I have grown older, I realize that my parents’ foresight does not match my own aspirations anymore. In Canada I found a job at an American-owned Canadian company as a junior accountant. Then, I self-studied and passed four parts of the Certified Public Accounting CPA exams. After working 5 years as an accountant, I realized I am actually more interested in communicating with people. Then, I started to work at Canadian RBC bank as an investment banker to try to make my clients and the bank rich. I won multiple awards, for example, I won to attend the annual cruise for top-performing employees of the bank three times, and my clients referred more friends and families to me.

Then during 2013 to 2018, I have experienced many hardships that shaped me into the person I am today. I started to realize what I am looking for in life and my true passions are. God helped me to go through three difficult medical precedures to give birth to a pair of twins. The experience has taught me that we need to be persistence to reach our goal. I loved them very much, but afterwards, I was unable to balance the work and private matters in my life. And my health had gradually deteriorated due to the unrest and poor nutrition after giving birth. The symptoms consisted of me continuously losing weight even though I ate regularly. I would often have digestion issues, such as diarrhea, and it would last for about 3-5 days for each session. I would sweat often during my sleep; feel tired, weak, and strengthless. Eventually, my face became dark and yellow, while I lost a lot of hair. I was scared, but was determined to find the cause of those symptoms. In the end, I visited the hospital and took a blood test. The results showed that I had no problem, and the doctor was unable to find out the reasons as to why I had those symptoms. However, deep down inside, I knew I had health issues, but, I was clueless on how I could fix it.

It is important to take care of our health. When we’re unable to, our body will get hurt and our lifespan will reduce. In addition, we’ll hurt the loved ones around us. I’ve personally experienced such a thing. In June 2020, my 77-years-old father suddenly passed away. It shocked all his friends and family members, as he had been known as an active and healthy man. His annual check-up did not indicate cancer issues either. Two months before his death, he was feeling uncomfortable and decided to visit the doctor. They told him that he was at the early stage of lung and liver cancer. After he had a month of chemo treatments, we thought he’d be fine. However, that was not the case. One day, he began feeling excruciating pain, and he had to call 911. In the hospital, they provided the normal procedure; giving him large amounts of painkillers and antibiotics. He was unconscious for 4 days and then passed away. Only at that moment did I realize that he has gone forever, and I couldn’t do anything for him.

Many people may share similar experiences like my father and I. We know that there’s something wrong with our health, but we have no solutions and do not know how to cure ourselves. In the end, our helplessness will cause a severe threat to our life. There are many medical procedures out there that try to extend our life; including handing out antibiotics and painkillers, but those do not prevent the problem, nor cure the root of the symptom. As a matter of fact, we can suffer more from the side effects of the given medicine.

In 2018 our family moved to live in Germany. I constantly searched for the solution to improve my health. I started to try some natural therapies and attended the Natural Medicine school. My overall health has significantly improved and all my friends and family have noticed my changes.

In 2021 we have decided to move back to Toronto to live closer to my mother after my father’s death. I hope to help more people to recover from the pain and certain illness. And I am willing to continue with my Homeopath studies at your college to improve my knowledge to obtain my Homeopath license to practice in Toronto.
