Why the Interest in Homeopathy?

From Erica H., Ypsilanti, Michigan

Why study homeopathy?  The short answer is that it works without poisoning my body.  It is less intrusive than allopathic medicine.  Best of all, no side effects.

Who am I and how did I end up here?  My name is Erica H.  I am a married mother of two teenagers (pray for me and yes, they are both for sale).  I am from Michigan U.S.A.  I am fifty years old.  I’ve just decided what I want to be when I grow up.  Ha.ha.

I prepared income taxes for 20 years and the stress was too overwhelming. I knew that I could not continue on this career path because it was affecting my health.  I would literally end up in the ER every year March or April which is prime tax season. The doctor even said “Umm..you were here last year around the same time”  Homeopathy makes me smile.  Taxes send me running to the restroom.

I’ve hired and fired so many doctors because no one was listening.  I was once told by a doctor that he only had time to hear 3 complaints.  Well, which three would lead him to the right diagnosis?  I fired him and went searching for the next doctor.   Each new doctor had a new medicine or antibiotic that seemed only to make things worse.  In fact, one medicine sent me to the emergency room.

One day in 2012 my dental hygienist told me of a D.O. that might be able to help me.  Before my first visit, she asked me to bring ALL the vitamins and medicine I was taking.  She actually went through each item and told me why I should or should not be taking it.  She listened to all I had to say.  I think I sat with her for 1 hour or more.  Wow!

My D.O. also introduced me to homeopathy in 2012.  She did so because she knew how scared I was of allopathic medicine.  She highly suggested I purchase a 30c kit and I have been using it every since.

She is also the doctor to discover my Lupus.  I have had many challenges with health and have not felt well enough to do much.  Unfortunately, she retired from private practice.   I now seek care under Martine and Liza Calache, board certified homeopathic practitioners in New Jersey.

I am still learning how to manage my stress, learning the value of the word “no”  and very careful about my food choices. I currently take care of my mom and also took care of my father until his death in 2016.  I studied at Institute of Integrative Nutrition and tried to use what I was learning to help my father beat cancer.  We went to Mexico, tried tonics, vitamins, everything to fight the kidney cancer.  I only wish I had known more about homeopathy.  He might still be here today.  So he is a large incentive for me wanting to learn.  I just want to help as many people as possible, starting with me first.

I am so excited to be learning homeopathy and I can not wait to start learning.
