  • I loved Sunday with Dr Saunders. He has so much insight and his lectures are so interesting.  I love how he presents his own case, then talks about physiology, pathology, pharmacology, medical terms, peppered with the materia medica and nutrition, and a bit of posology and philosophy. From Annalisa P., RN, Yarker, Ontario

In truth I have been an aspiring homeopath for almost longer than I remember….my first memory being as a teenager lying in the hospital with a broken leg, and my friend and mentor bringing me Symphytum and Arnica.

Well I shocked the orthopedic surgeon at just how fast I mended a very difficult fracture !

Since then I have been fascinated by the use of homeopathic remedies and the ancient wisdom behind them.

Many of my early influences were friends who trained as homeopaths, naturopaths and Feldenkrais practitioners, and being the self starter I am, I did the research and treated my own animals and family using natural solutions, good nutrition and homeopathy. Living in a rural area I actually had my veterinarian’s blessing, and eventually my own physician was accepting of my irrefutable data and successes with regards to healing with homeopathy.

Healthcare was my choice of career and truly after 22 years as an RN I am disheartened by the influence of Big Pharma and the exclusive symptomatic, “band aid” treatment of today’s medical doctrine.

This focusing on the symptoms of the disease and not the imbalance and disease itself is synonymous with monocular vision….sure the symptom can be eradicated but what about the entire person who is ill, unbalanced and now palliated, or worse, suppressed ?

A Homeopath sees the whole person and can treat with gentle non invasive remedies that resonate with the energy and life force of the person who is ill/unbalanced.

What could be more satisfying for a health care professional than that ? For anyone in fact ?!

So after 22 years of working as an ER nurse, Primary Care Nurse (Army nursing officer in garrison) Poison Center and Child Health Line, Doctors Office and Palliative Care, and seeing so many situations where homeopathy would effect a non invasive cure ….I have decided that homeopathy has been calling me for years and I will now answer that call.

In recent months I have been working closely with a homeopathic veterinarian who is also a wonderful teacher, and I have, in observing treatments that unfold and gently peel back the layers of the animals seen the energetic self healing take place.

The science behind homeopathy that has been evident since Hippocrates is mesmerizing but it is the art of finding the remedy for each individual that intrigues me more.
