Legislation for Homeopathy in the 19th Century Ontario

The homeopathic profession in Ontario is currently in the process of becoming regulated, so as to ensure a uniform high standard of homeopathic care across the province.


But, despite what you may think,this is not at all unprecedented.  Homeopathy was regulated in Ontario previously, during homeopathy's golden age in North America.

Iman Navab of the Applied Research in Homeopathy Foundation of Canada, who lectures frequently on Canadian homeopathic history, has written a fascinating article about the origins of homeopathy in Ontario and howthe medical profession was regulated jointly by various types of doctors, including homeopaths, in the 19th century

Iman Navab is a historian of homeopathy, practitioner and botanist from Ontario, Canada. Iman is the president of the Applied Research in Homeopathy Foundation of Canada, and has been practicing homeopathy for the past fifteen years.
He conducts lectures on philosophy, pharmacopoeia and history of medicine; writes monthly articles in Hpathy e-magazine, and is the author of two books, ‘Miasma of Cancer’ and ‘An interview with Samuel Hahnemann’.
