“I would like to learn homeopathic medicine so I can be a well-rounded person, and a well-rounded physician”

From Shilpa T., MD, Wellington, Florida

I have been an allopathic physician for the past 10 years. I have spent my time focusing on treatment and cures for ailing patients. For the past 4 years I have been working with addiction medicine. I have come to a crossroad where I want to incorporate more avenues for my patients to take; I want to find more balance for my patients. Homeopathic medicine has been an essential form of medicine, used for generations around the world and especially in my home country of India. I have been drawn to it by people who report positive personal experiences.

I would like to learn homeopathic medicine so I can be a well-rounded person, and a well-rounded physician. I believe learning never ends and this is a new challenge I would like to take up. I know this challenge will require some time to pull ideas together, and to form a good base, but I am motivated and organized and have the will to take up this challenge ahead of me. I am also mature and experienced, and I think this will help me through the process.

I also realize this path will require time and dedication which I am willing to devote. I believe the Canadian College of Homeopathic Medicine will provide me with a great foundation for success as an homeopathic physician
