My journey to natural healing began when I woke up one morning when I was 7 months pregnant with the dreaded feeling that something is wrong with my baby. By that evening I had to be admitted to hospital with premature labour. The unknown was overwhelming and scary at the same time. My son was born 2 days later at 30 weeks gestation. What went wrong? How can I prevent this happening again? Many unanswered questions and too many unknown causes later, I came to the realization that I have to be my own advocate if I wanted answers.
Two and a half years later, when my daughter was born at 29 weeks gestation, my belief that my body was struggling became even more anchored and I knew I needed to fix my body in order to be a healthy energetic mom for my kids.
There was a time when I could no longer climb the stairs or be able to give my kids a bath. My doctor thought I was just a busy mom with 2 kids but I knew deep inside that there was a deeper issue. As time went on I came to the conclusion that in order to heal my body, be healthy and enjoy playing with my kids, I needed to research. I need to read more about natural health remedies and other options including homeopathic remedies. I needed to get to the root of what was happening to my body in order to be a healthy happy mom.
I started to use some homeopathic creams for bruising and some remedies to aid in healing especially for digestion and after surgery. The more I used homeopathic remedies, the more my belief in natural healing was affirmed. It is only through my perseverance in seeking treatment alternatives that I now lead a much healthier and energetic lifestyle.
Working with adult and paediatric patients at the eye clinic, and being exposed to traditional medicine, I realized that natural remedies can help some of those patients especially the ones that have multiple issues. I decided it’s time for me to pursue a passion that has been blossoming over the last few years. Knowing that I can treat my kids safely and effectively will be one of my biggest joys as a mother.
