  • Hello, I wanted to say how much I loved Joan Weirs class. After spending the day with her my perspective was changed for the better. We need more Joan Weir through out our 3 year course, especially when trying to keep yourself together during 2nd and 3rd year. Also, today's...

  • I've finished the video cases - they were great, I learned so much and Monica was such a positive resource.  I really felt she cared about how I was doing and guided me without making me feel incompetent.

  • I am writing to express my gratitude for being able to attend and take part in your wonderful in class program at CCHM.  The whole process from beginning to end what a long one for me, but the last 3 years of class have flown by. Before choosing a school...

  • This was one of the most amazing lectures offered by CCHM (Kanan Patel’s Post Grad lecture, 2018)! I wasn't bored for 1 second; it was interactive, integrative, informative and absolutely mind-blowing...

  • Having returned in April from a trip to Taiwan and the Phillipines, I would like to tell you how homeopathy ‘saved the day’ as per usual!  Since I never travel anywhere without my kit, I was especially glad to have brought it on this trip.  Personally, I used remedies for...

  • This is my testimony about the live classes at CCHM. Date: 8-15-19 My first experience with homeopathy was the immediate eradication of mastitis. Then I took our 5 kids. I felt called to homeopathy to share healing that I had experienced and tell my fellow man, woman and child about...

  • Thank you for a wonderful weekend. The perspective of case taking that we learned this weekend was exactly what we needed at this stage of our homeopathy training. I will always appreciate and be grateful to you for showing me this path.

  • After the abrupt closure of the prospective program in homeopathic studies that was to be offered at Georgian College in Barrie, Ontario, I wanted to spread some light for this school, that has done the same for me each and everyday. Though that program was pulled, and without real reason...

Happy 262nd Birthday, Samuel Hahnemann!

By CCHM Registrar Andrea Gallant Deal, HOM “The discovery that crude medicinal substances (dry and fluid) unfold their medicinal power ever more and more by trituration or succussion with non-medicinal things, and in greater extent the further, the longer and the stronger this trituration or succussion is carried on, so that all their material substance seems gradually to be dissolved and resolved into pure medicinal spirit; --this discovery... is of unspeakable value, and so undeniable that the skeptics, who from ignorance of the inexhaustible resources of nature in the homeopathic dilutions, see nothing but mechanical division and diminution until nothing remains (therefore, annihilation of their medicinal powers), must see their error as soon as they appeal to experiment.” – Samuel Hahnemann, page 650 Materia Medica Pura (1826) It all started with Sam... Samuel Hahnemann, one of the greatest scientists of all time, made a grand discovery 2 hundred years ago. It is a discovery, which we are still trying to understand today. Hahnemann sought to cure his patients, not just merely make their symptoms go away. He realized that every substance that exists has indwelling medicinal properties and can be made into a medicine, and through experimentation he uncovered the ‘inexhaustible resources of nature.’ He explored the inherent power and wisdom of the living body. He understood that every unique individual expresses health and illness differently and that the medicine we use should be individualized to the person and each unique case. Hahnemann came to see that every body has a language to express what it’s needs are and that if we understand that language and we give the body as precisely as possible what it says it needs, that the body can truly heal. Hahnemann understood the importance of a healthy lifestyle and diet to maintain a healthy body. 200 years ago, he already understood that there was no separation between body, mind, emotion and spirit. Health and illness are expressed on all of these levels, always. Hahnemann was methodical in his ways. He didn’t run to publish every little detail he discovered for money or fame; he experimented tirelessly, sometimes for years, until he was absolutely sure of what he had discovered. And when he found something new, even if it contradicted what he thought he was sure about before, he shared not only the idea, but all of the experimentation he had completed that supported his findings, so that others could, as he said, ‘appeal to experiment.’ Many people are unaware that Samuel Hahnemann was the first person to perform a double blind medical trial. We do what we do because we wholeheartedly believe in Sam and his medical legacy. What he discovered is profound. What he uncovered is a huge part of the story of life, the story of science, the story of us. Unfortunately, in the many years following Hahnemann’s death, people have denied, misunderstood and mishandled his teachings. It is important to us that we uphold Hahnemann’s discoveries of the truth, and that in our curriculum here at The Canadian College of Homeopathic Medicine, we study Hahnemann’s literature carefully so that we are sure that we understand his discoveries as well as possible and that what we practice is pure homeopathy as Hahnemann would have expected. We believe that what the world needs now is a system of medicine which can reproduce consistent positive results, is gentle, causes no harm, is accessible, affordable for everyone and that strives to stimulate a body to be in it’s greatest state of health possible. What the world needs now is homeopathy, and the world clearly knows it; homeopathy is currently the second most used form of medicine in the world. We want to share with you our knowledge. We want to bring homeopathy to aspiring and practicing homeopaths just as Hahnemann would have wanted. We want to train the best homeopaths to reproduce Hahnemann’s curative results and with our community of students, faculty, staff and alumni we strive to create history by making new discoveries and healing the world one unique body at a time. With Hahnemann as our guide, we’ve been continuing to perfect teaching this noble art and science for 22 years.  Here at CCHM, we have the finest faculty, a warm and supportive community and a curriculum we know that Hahnemann would be proud of. Sam is why we do what we do. If it weren’t for him, we simply wouldn’t be here. So today, on his 262nd birthday, we would like to wish Samuel Hahnemann a warm thank you! To the brilliant man behind the first ever nanoparticle medicine (see studies below) and behind all that we do here at CCHM, a Happiest Birthday to you!
